Look at all this food! I used every piece of tuppaware I own - it barely fitted into the fridge and we had loads left over.
We sat for hours in a non designated picnic area on mats that are plasticated one side and soft and dry the other. We ate until we popped and then waddled around the park.
I got to open lots of presents even though it wasn't quite my birthday. I got a yoga set, the white srtipes album, the notebook, slippers and lots of other cool stuff.
In the Longside Gallery ( one of three in the park) we saw Antony Gormley's Field for the Briish Isles. A fantastic artwork made up of 40,000 small clay figues all gazing up at you. Made quite an impession with the rolling hills and fields as a back drop.
The next morning we went for a walk and visited Haddon Hall. The Hall was very interesting, had great Tudor kitchens and lots of bats in one room that you could hear chattering.
The gardens and house were on a high point so you could look right down the Wye valley.
